Context
Plate built from the pixel-art icons in its own repository.
The problem
Streaming sources are scattered across sites with dated interfaces, and any one of them can go down.
What I built
- Scraped anime, movie, and series catalogues from several sources server-side, cached for 30 minutes.
- Built a release schedule with a countdown matched against the catalogue.
- Chained several player servers so one dead source does not break playback.
- Added levels, EXP, daily quests, and badges; some episodes unlock with a key.
The outcome
Pixel-art neumorphic interface with light and dark mode. Source is public.
